Default 914/6 (photos and video)

Hello guys,

Last week I did the photoshoot with this one:

http://www.garagemdobellote.com.br/2...che-914-6.html

The same owner has a 66` Beetle with Porsche 356`s engine, brakes and seats. Take a look:

hello and please forgive me since i am not from the 914 world.
is the emblem on the back rare or is that common in brazil and other parts of the world, "914-6 vw porsche" i thought vw took some of these and did what they wanted and porsche took some and did what they wanted, didn't know there was a vw and porsche version. i guess this is a full porsche version, it has the 5 hole wheels, also, the tach in there has a dial all the way to 10, is that common?
also, i see the ignition is on the left of the steering, is that common, i've seen a few of these but i seem to always see the ignition on the right of the steering.
nice looking green and finally is there a downloadble video?

again please forgive me if the questions or comments are crazy, i don't own a 914.

thanks,

To my knowledge the US didn't get that badge, but the ROW cars did. The car in the picture is a 914/6, so it has a six cylinder 911 engine 2.0 liter with 115 horsepower (at least that's what I recall being the case in the US). The 914/6 also had 5 lug wheels and the igintion on the left. The four cylinder cars were manufactured by vw and they use vw-based flat four engines. They had 4 lug wheels (4x130), igintion on the right of the steering wheel. In the US the steering wheel even on the four cylinder had a Porsche badge whereas ROW cars had the Wolfsburg emblem (they were built there and that's where VW is from). I believe no 914/4 ever left the factory with a porsche crest on the hood.

Anyway, someone will chime in I'm sure. I'm not the expert.
