Default Moving the driver's seat in 1971 914?

Hi, I've just bought 71 914, the seat was in the front-most position and at my 6'3" it was not exactly easy to drive it home, lifting up the right leg any time I needed to shift unde it :-) The previous owner says the seat does not move (it only tilts), I find it hard to believe as I see it's on a track, but I could not find a way to move it. I'm going to poke at it more, but has anyone got a quick answer? thx

The handle to move it back probably broke- pretty common problem. You should be able to push up a spring in the track manually to push the seat back until you replace the T handle... I'm 6'1" and the seat definitely moves!

Drop your right hand to the front of the seat rail and you should be able to feel the end of the handle.

Guys, are right, there is no handle any more but the metal strip on the right end of the seat rail can be lifted up and the seat moves - much more comfortable now :-) Thanks a lot!
