Post Interested in buying a 914

Hi all,

I'm thinking about getting my wife a 914 for grocery getting, occasional commuting, and spirited driving. Predictably, I was thinking about a 73-74 2.0L. I'm wondering what I should expect to pay for one without the rust "option" and with the standard FI intact. I won't need to get her a concours car to make her happy. I imagine the prices vary by region, but I'll be looking nationwide. Thanks for your advice!

Regards,

Jim

My guess is, $4500 if you are lucky, $6,000 for a good car. Be sure you have a competent 914 guy thoroughly check out the car before you put cash down.

Thanks philinjax! Are there any special things to look for that might bias the price towards the high end?

You will find that excellent cosmetics, fit and
trim bring the price up substantially.
