Looking for advice for racing clutch. It is bacically a Super Vee setup w/ Hewland and 180HP. At this point I'm planning to use Tilton; any other ideas? Thanks, Cap

I installed a kennedy stage 1 with a stock pressure plate....works well, just a little grab. After going through a stock disk in 6 months, so far I like this one....good luck.

Hello

If you go to use a stock 914 chassis then reinforce the clutch cable tube as it will crack in the firewall.

i just reread your post....things may have changed since i did my no-compromise 914 (contact me off line and i'll send some photos)....but i ran into nothing but problems trying to set up the hydraulic slave of the Tilton pressure plate unit, as i recall there was insufficient room in and around the bell housing to provide trouble free reliability for the 914 chassis installation.....ultimately went with a 901-Kennedy pressure plate-Patrick race disc-Tilton slave......a number of years ago i had a Zink Supervee that had the Mark IV Hewland box...after i sold it i thought that that transmission would've worked real well in the back of the 914....being able to change gears in less than 10 minutes comes in real handy.....good luck on your project
