Where is the fuel tank and fuel spout on a stock 914? I'm trying to find out if it's still on my 914 shell race car (Sheridan body kit) or if the previous owner removed it. On the outside of my car there are no doors or flaps to indicate where the tank spout would be. Is there a door on the stock body car? Or is it filled up by opening the front hood? I might eventually get a fuel cell but it might be nice to see where the stock tank is first.

the tank and filler is under the front hood.

Yep.. No gas tank. Good luck finding one that isnt rusted.. see you should have let me buy that car during the ebay auction...ha ha

I've got a few spare fuel tanks,

but how can we get one from Germany to Canada ?

No exterior fuel filler, it is on the top of the tank, to the right from the front of the car.

It used to be in the space between the shock towers, behind that bulkhead.
