Awesome!
I can't wait until I get my car set up for such events. Oh yeah and learn to drive well enough too.

They just had a huge AX at Alameda with over 50 914's. Since you are so close go over to High Preformance House in Redwood City for the latest scoop on 914 racing in your area.

What's with the big wings....?

Do you guys actually go fast enough between the cones to get meaningful downforce or do you just think they look cool?

...or maybe they are just picnic tables.....?

At the NW PCA AX's we get up to 60 mph so those wings would just be extra weight to slow the car down.

I've been to High Performance House once before. I bought me one of those Gel filled battery things. But turns out it was too late for me battery tray.

Before I will get into a lot of racing, I want to do some drivers education stuff.

AXing is pretty educational as it teaches you how to handle the car, where its balance is, how much grip it has before it spins all great stuff. The only person you race is yourself.
Lots of help there teaching you the basics of driving before you do a track event.
