Default $101k on Bring-a-Trailer

Non-matching numbers. Not the original color.

I was following that as well- yeah, good money for colour change and non-matching! I ask myself almost every day why I sold my real '71 six back in the early 2000's... there were only 240 of them here! Oh well, there's a thread somewhere here on the 'list asking which car you regret selling the most.

Not that it is a big difference, but there were 306 '71 914-6's from my understanding. Mine is number 0372 which makes me wonder if 306 is even accurate.

I've seen your car on various threads here and at 914 world- it is BEAUTIFUL. I think they only imported 240 as they couldn't get rid of the leftover '70's!!! How times change.

Thank you. It is Irish Green, an original color but not my original color which was Gold Metallic. The entire car was stripped to nothing on a rotisserie and then restored from there. Not a speck of gold remains. My wife and I love the Irish Green.

I had a 71 914-6, Irish green with black interior. Sold it about 3 years ago. I thought I made a killing at $85K. Prices have gone crazy.

I have had 3 serious offers on the car all in excess of $100K one for $135K. I may be stupid, but I turned them all down. I just love the car too much.

I was surprised by this auction, too!
