That is neat but even being a 914 guy I LOVE that "904" styling subject the best... but unfortunately none of those will ever be built. We'll be stuck with the plug in models... thank God my old cars are in good shape. They'll last longer than I will...

The appeal (to me) of driving is car is driving the car. That is why 10+ years ago I bought my '71 914-6 and restored it the way I wanted it. I now love driving it instead of it driving me. My wife initially did not get it when I told her I wanted to do another 914-6 and she was pushing me to go buy a new 911 variant. I told her we had had those, and still had one, a '10 C4S 6 speed coupe in great shape, and that just was not what I wanted. After she went for a ride in the 914-6 she went, Oh, yeah. Now I remember why you love these cars."

Both this one and the 904 concept are fantastic. Sad that they’ll never make production. Porsche production design is becoming bloated and a bit too bmw like for my tastes. In my mind, mazda was the only company to be pushing out sexy concept
car designs....until seeing these.

I don't see the size of the 914 engine mentioned. I see that he mentions a 1971 model ('71)...

Obviously the 2.0L motor is the best 4,butthsts followed by the 1.7, then the 1.8 last.

Love the concept and would buy. I'd also be interested in the 920 concept as well.

Either the 981 or 987.2 sypders are as close to the 914 as you can get today, and unfortunately they will probably never build another true "entry level" mid-engined sports car. Maybe something electrically powered in the future, but no thanks. I love my 981 spyder but nothing beats the true analog 2000lb 914 even with a 100hp...

Yep, it's as close to a street go cart as you can get in the Porsche line-up. That 100 HP is easy enough to fix too. I added about 50% to mine.
