Default Options when you buy a project w/o drivetrain?

Like the title says: in this case, it’s a chassis prepped for a 6-cyl. Where does one source a drivetrain?

depends on whether you want a four or a six drive train. Four drive trains are very readily accessible, the six is not and would have to be made up along with many other attachment pieces.

The car I’m looking at is just a shell but it’s completely rust free and apparently the current owner already prepped it for a 6 cyl.

After completing the purchase I would post a wanted to by advertisement on the “914world” for an engine and transmission. If it were me I would buy one that is already completed but that’s just me.
