Hello porsche men, I have a question , that i hope soeme one can help me with.
Am building a 2.4 ( and a bit) S engine , have the S case, wit a good crank etc, 85 mm LN Barrels and 9.5 cr JE pistons , will have the small port heads midified to S , now the question, I have a good 2.4 E mfi pump, and plan to use thi combination wit DC 30 cams , dc 30 cams are modified solex an should work well withe pump , has any one done this ? What advice can you all give me , I have both e and s throttle bodies availabe

I think you may get better response on the 911 forum , but I'll tell you what I do know I believe the DC30 cams are either similar or a notch above Mod S
which is the web cam equivalent of S+ .
as long as you have the correct MFI drive (left side) I don't see any difficulties with running this set up, I would use the S throttle bodies for improved breathing of course.
Also the S case gives you no great advantage that I know of unless it has been machined for by/pass oil mod etc, if I were you building a hot rod motor
I would obtain a T or even E case and sell on the S , they are bringing considerable funds particularly those that can be matched to a chassis .
These additional funds of course could pay for the replacement and more ...haha YMMV , Bert
