Default Help with 1966 912 "barn find"

Hi,

I have attached pictures of the 912. It is a '66 with sunroof and original stereo with an alleged original 56k on the odometer. It has not been started in 20+ years.

I am tossing around the idea of picking her up. Any ideas on what a reasonable offer would be since the owner is just taking offers for the time being.

Thank you!

Love these missions!!

It's all about the RUST!! Not IF but how much? Make sure you have the funds to resurrect. Rust is the biggest issue then engine and trans (all 911 $ territory to rebuild), interior, brakes so on and so on.

I'd offer him $5k considering you will need $20-30K to restore.....

Where is this car located? (generally)

Thank you for the quick feedback and offer to assist. However, after sleeping on it, I think it would be a horrible decision for me to take something like this on.

Incase anyone else is interested, the car is located in Lowell, MA and here is the link tio the C.L. posting.

Good luck and enjoy!
