My first Porsche purchase - My 912E
New to the forum and to being a Porsche owner
Spent many a year wanting a dreaming of owning a Porsche. After many years I was able to purchase one.
I have been a life long ACVW guy, builder and owner of a VW company Called VW LooseNuts. This opportunity to owner this Porsche came along and I sold my last ACVW build to purchase this Porsche project. It was in an accident about 15 years ago and has been stored in dry storage ever since. The motor and transmission as well as the rear section of wiring harness was removed for another 912E car that caught fire which kinda sucked but I didn’t really care lol. Right now it’s at the body shop in Eugene Oregon - BodyWorx getting the tub straightened out. Hoping to get it back on the road next summer.
Here are some pics of where I found it and where it’s currently at.
Purchase some euro headlights
Found a type 4 motor and 902/16 transmission. Not correct I know
Had some Weber 44s laying around so going to go that route
Found some real Fuchs also and a rear back glass as mine was broken in the accident
At the body shop- BodyWorx

once that was done I decided sine it was wreck to hell with it build what you want and forward dated to a 964. which I my favorite Porsche of them all.
found rear 964 quarter panels and front fenders decklid as well as necessary body items as well as a carbon fiber hood. completely rebuilt the suspension so it would lay rocker (still working on the air ride stuff as they don't make a bolt in kit for a 76 tub.
My buddy Paul Iozzio made me a custom set of wheels. for it. 18x7 and 18x10.
