Slantnose Values?

Blasphemy, in my purist opinion. Slant was an afterthought, to make the original body style "even better" in some people's eyes (ok to flame me now ). Sorry, but slants don't fit in my tool box. But as previously stated, this particular topic is "slanted" in the eye of the beholder! Each to his own, I respect any and all special wishes 930's. If slants are indeed commanding a better selling price, that's fantastic.

Afterthought, BS. The slant body and component options have direct roots in racing. Each body mod is 100% functional. Again, to each his own. I had a slant, presently own a regular 930. Both are cool, the regular one is more under the radar. A real slant is irreplaceable, almost not drivable .

I really wanted a slant cab when shopping 5 years ago but eventually gave up. People who knew what they had were holding and 98% of the others were trying to pass salvage, aftermarket work etc. off as factory. It's really hard since there was early work done by special wishes with little clarity on where it was done, who did it etc. Is a dealer slant conversion really that different from factory special wishes work done years later? If it's not an SE does it really matter?
This was 5 years ago, today anything real is almost certainly in a collection or a showroom where they know what they have. Any garage finds of 505 slants, even with paperwork should be carbon dated by the Smithsonian to verify.
Nowadays I don't even trust what's in a showroom.
Oh and TT Surgeon had one of the most beautiful slants I've ever seen. Look back through old posts, THAT is what you're looking for.

Mine is not a true 505, I couldn't justify the $150K more for it. I found a very clean 2 owner car with 45k miles on it modified by Coachworks when the car was new.
Had it completely repainted put a new top and added the Techart Speedline wheels, I love driving it!
