My 87 930 has VIN WPOJB0 stamped on all the body stickers, plate on the window pillar, VIN sticker inside the door but the VIN stamped into the Chassis in front of the smugglers box is a WPOZZZ VIN. I have read that they did this at the factory for the chassis and designated the proper VIN once determined what county is was sold to. Can anyone confirm whether or not I have a correct USA model? Thank you

 

^that is exactly how I understand it as well.
I don't know what year their production planning changed and they started to stamp the tub with full VIN "numbers" instead of "Z's".
