Default help pricing my 79 930 T

Hey guys-

I'm getting ready to sell a 1979 930 turbo with 21K original miles. white with can-can red leather. mods are: 993 turbo brakes, stainless headers and exhaust and intercooler. the right rear quarter has paint. both doors and right front fender have a light orange peel in some areas (tho the edges are more perfect)

the car is #'s matching, very clean inside and out. what should I list the car for? any thoughts appreciated.

Scooter, is this your car? How much history do you have on it?

If you're looking for an honest assessment of its value, it would help if you posted a link to a photo bucket with 20-30 [quality] shots of the interior, exterior, engine, and underside, calling out any discrepancies. Otherwise, someone will just say, "it depends...$20k-$150k".

GLWS.

The color combination is very nice. Do you still have the original brakes and other parts you can re-install? The original 930 front floater hats are very difficult to source.

FYI - the 1979 interior color was light red and not Can Can red. Can Can red was first used on U.S. 911 SC's and RoW 930's in the 1982 model year. Can Can is a very different red than light red.

If you can document the miles and car is in excellent condition $110-150k. If you've got the original parts that helps.

Nice looking 930!
Based on the original parts it looks as though this is late NA 1980 Build '79 MY 930, likely 10/79 or 11/79. Can you supply the VIN and Build Date?

Obvious issues are; brakes, exhaust, I/C, wheels, and the A/C Compressor looks to be a replacement. Take note in what idart930 says.

Major issues are; Speedometer has been replaced (the reason must be fully documented as pu911rsr stated) and the forward right door hinge area looks re-sprayed.

The interior pictures are rather dark and it is hard to see the condition of the Dash (does it have a cover on it?) and although the Radio looks correct there were 2 versions for the early/late build '79 930's.

This is a nice looking early 3.3, but without resolving the issues, likely $80K maybe a stretch to $90K.
Without paint issues and thorough documentation, records, toolkit, compressor, books, and all original parts in place it could be $150+.

Default info

The speedo was replace in 1981 with 1,023 miles, I have it documented and stamped in the service book. (still have the stock speedo as well) I have a stock exhaust, wheels, IC and BOV.

the build date is Sept. I have records since 2000 and a few early stamps in the service book along with the msrp

no paint on the door area or hinge. only paint on the car is the right rear quarter, the job was done great, just picked up by the paint meter and a very faint paint line under the rear deck lid. The dash is also original with no cracks, but the usual deformed/gap around the center vent. also, yes, the a/c unit was replaced back in 2004 I think.

as for tool kit, I have the spare, jack, and a few wrenches. not the full wrap.

Car looks very nice, to get top $$ I'd put as many if stock parts back on as possible.

+1 – since you already have the stock parts, I would return as many as possible before the sale.

Very nice light red sport seats. Does your window sticker have the color code as R4R495 or R4R499 (it's hard to make out in your posted image)? The “R4R4” is for Alpine White and the “95” is for light red but if it’s “99” then it may indicate the special order carpet in black (vs. light red) that was an option in the 1980 Porsche + Audi fact book.

What’s the date on the back of your 85 mph speedo?

The 7 x 16 8 x 16 fuchs are fairly common and not that expensive, finding the correct date codes will make it a little tougher, I'd at least swap out wheels and intercooler - stocks one are readily available and fairly inexpensive.

code is R4R495 and the speedo date and the door jam label both say 10/1979

Like I said, I have the original wheels and intercooler already. just trying to collect all the other parts.
