Vin Option Decoder for my new 930
Hey guys,
Leaving the watercool world for an aircooled 930 Turbo but needed some info on my car.
Would someone be so kind as to decode and tell me my VIN options and whatever pertinent information you can get from it?

I hope I'm not in over my head on this car as my budget is limited. Will post pics of car and details shortly.
I know it is a 1982 930 Turbo.
A little rough but getting a PPI done today. So will report back with the findings for your guys' opinion and help!

543 of 888 930's World wide in 1982 There were also another 39 built for Canada.
There was an under-hood sticker listing options but it was not added until later in the 1983 production. Unless you have the original delivery paperwork I'm afraid the only way you can hope to see what came with the car is a CoA from Porsche.

Vincent, thanks for the information. Any info is helpful!
Any way to tell if this was a factory slant nose? It has a slant nose and I was just wondering if its factory or not?
Also anyway to tell the original interior and exterior color codes?

Three Wheelin'
Pop open your hood and look for a rod assembly that actuates both headlight buckets. Porsche used that system vs individual motors for aftermarket conversions.

I have PETS 7.3 running at home in an XP virtual machien but the VIN lookup piece doesn't pull options.
If you decode this one I will provide you with a complimentary bourbon if ever you come through scenic Louisville.

Could be a special wishes car from the early 80s, that may not show up on the coa or hood sticker. If you put up some pics, ESP e headlight mech under the bonnet, I can tell you.
