Turbo Oil leaks

Turbo Oil leaks
Hi all,
I am a fairly new 930 owner. I bought the car knowing it had oil leaks based on a pre-buy and it was priced accordingly (and then some :-)). Mileage is 75K miles, car is a 1988, I have all receipts from day one and note nothing unusual. We replaced one line before I picked it up. I did a search and noticed 2 past posts that suggested to drive the car some first (this one has been a garage queen for 1+ years). My independent Porsche mechanic suggested the same. I assume this is sound advice?
The car tends to emit a strong liquid oil odor more when backing off high rpm/boost then at any other time. During real hard mountain driving I "lost" about 1/2 to 3/4 quart in 150 miles, and people behind me did get some mist on their windshields when we ran hard in the mountains. I have oil sitting at the left top of the case right near the back of the motor in the valley on the case. Any ideas what I can look for? Drips on my floor are pretty much center to the left engine edge.

I assume that you have checked your valve covers, rocker arm shafts, oil return tube seals and timing chain housings. Is your turbo failing? The first thing to check to see if your turbo is failing is oil in the intake tract, take off the 90 elbow on the turbo inlet if it is wet with oil you need a turbo.
