Default 1987 930 Turbo Price Check Please

Hello,

I do not know much about these cars, so I am looking for a little help please. I have the opportunity to purchase a:

1987 930 Turbo
40,000 miles original owner car
White
Palamino interior
Sunroof
CA Car
All records from new
Unmodified original

What would the value of this car be?
Are these good cars to own?

Thanks,

Allan

That's a good starting point but if you want to drive it and enjoy it resist driving a modified one. When the modification bug bites it can get expensive. After owning a well modified one for a couple of years I doubt I'd be satisfied with a stock 930. You can also find a very nicely modified one for way less $$. What I guess I'm trying to say is: If you're in it for the investment angle stock is certainly the best way to go, if you enjoy some really exhilarating acceleration and sticky handling go for a well sorted out car with performance and suspension mods.

I totally agree. I had a stock 930 and 964 turbo, and modded 930. It was like night and day when comparing those cars. I now have a 77 930 that is fairly stock and a 996tt. I still prefer the 930.

My friend just picked up a 87 930 with 22k on it for a smoking deal. It was a long time customer's car and the motor needs some work so he sold it cheap.

No. They are great effing cars. Everytime you get them out to stretch their legs they bring a giant smile to your face and all the cares of the world suddenly seem insignificant.

That may be a bit over the top but that's the way I feel.

Yes great cars, never should've sold mine, huge mistake.
Also agree, stock is nice but very slow compared to a lightly modded car.
I wouldn't mind mods as long as the stock parts are available.
