Post Rev-Limiter

I have a '79 930 and I was wondering if it has a rev limiter. On the street I am pretty careful not to hit the red, but I am thinking of doing and auto-x. I thought I might be trying a little to hard to and not paying attention.

Thanks,
Jeb

I always had the impression the rev limiter in these cars was on the distributor rotor - when sufficient centrifugal force is achieved it mechanically cuts out the ignition. I may be wrong, but I remember it as being spring loaded.

Bigger spring = higher revs
