Question 94' 3.6 turbo,horsepower upgrades

Hello,
I have just had several new things done to my 94' 3.6 Turbo and am thinking of one more.
I have just completed the following:

1.New turbo
2.Light weight fly-wheel/new clutch.
3.1 bar boost spring with new waste gate.
4.Headers and new muffler,eliminating the K.converter
Question?
The car comes stock with 355 and now has around 430 or so and I hear a larger inter-cooler will give me an additional 20hp?
The 94'3.6 already comes with a larger inter-cooler and I wonder if it's worth the $2500 and if it really helps that much?
How much does that bigger inter-cooler help?
Thanks,
Jerry

I also have a 94 3.6 Turbo with the following mods:

B&B exhaust (headers, muffler no cat) - made the biggest difference

K29 Turbo

Tial waste gate - highly recomend

K&N Cone style filter - made a nice difference

Lightweight flywheel (Porsche RSR)

Andial Fuel enrichment - don't recomend for 3.6T

Eletronic boost controler set at 1 bar

Mechanical boost gauge - recomend.

** I'm getting ready to do a valve job and wonedering if there is anything else I could do to the car for more hp? Maybe a c2 cam??

I heard that the intercooler on the 3.6t is fine and is a waste to modify or change.

From the knowledge I've gathered, the 964 3.6 turbo intercooler is good enough.

Andial can recore yout I/C with a 4" core. They did this for the factory S2 Kits.

Don't know if it will give you much hp but could add some insurance. Sammeer is right, the stock I/C has a great reputation.

I'd have a good port & valve job done. Your intake ports are on the small side. If you do, you will need to have the manifold ported to match. I'd concider haveing the manifold Extrude Honed at the same time. Could also concider having the valves back cut.

Last, check your Air/Fuel ratios on the dyno with a wide band o2 gauge. You should be running out of fuel at those levels without a fueling strategy. I'd look into the Rennlist modified fuel distributor or the Rice Accel/Fuel'r. The Andial is good to but I would add an rpm switch in line with there hobbs switch so it only works above 5000 rpm where you need it.

The Andial fuel enrichment activates if I'm not mistaken at 0.6 bar of boost onwards. It's not rpm related. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sameer,

You are corect Andial sets there hobbs switch to come in around .7 bar. There in lies the opertunity.

Looking at my A/F curve, (euro injection most mods), the stock enrichment goes "to rich" any way on boost at around 3500 rpm. (with out a fueler)

At 4000 rpm I am at 10/1 A/F. If the Andial unit started adding fuel on top of this, it whould go even richer.

Do you want to run richer that 10/1 A/F?

Thus, if you "add" an rpm switch inline with the vacunm switch that comes with the Andial unit, you could then set it on a dyno to come in around 5000 rpm or so (depending on your modifications) where your A/F ratio shows you where you start truly needing the extra fuel.

I am not an expert, but I have done my A/F curve and I know how the Andial system works.

What is the big difference between the:

Rice Fueler and the Andial Unit?? (performance/reliability/price)

I also just purchased a 3.6t . It is currently bone stock. I took it by Andial to recommend performance mods, this is what they said:

Stage 1: 1 bar boost spring, Andial Fuel enrichment, larger intercooler and boost gauge.

Stage 2: C2 cams, exhaust & headers

Stage 3. New C rods and 3.8l pistons

Thoughts/comments anyone? THX
