in 1978 or 1979 the infamous Kremer Brothers Racing contracted dp (Design Plastics) to fabricate a body suited for their racing agenda. hence the birth of the K3. somewhere along there, their second brain child, the K2 body was derived, which is the version often seen on the streets. i've been told that there are very few real dp cars (stateside) that where actually built by dp inc. the "rare" "carbon fiber" dp that has been for sale lately is a real mccoy as you can usually tell by their documentation and price tags. dp was going to start a US distributership, but somebody told me they are T.U. i have emailed them several times and no reply...
(thats my 2cents) and i wont swear to anything!

yes, thats it. i dont know what the deal is on that car. it was recently owned by a gentleman in florida that promotes unlimited hydroplane racing in evansville and madison. when he had it, just a couple of months ago, he was asking nearly $80k for it now i see its in richmond for considerably less. looks like a dealer has it now. ??????

Mike,
I can't remember if I told you but my DP935 was actually done in Germany by DP. I was told that it was one of three built with a heavily modified engine by Ruf. The quality of the carbon fibre work, fit and finish is like factory. I last had contact with them around 1996. Here is the last address and phone number I had.
