Default Fabspeed 930 SuperCup Exhaust, Any Reviews?

I see that FabSpeed offers a 930 SuperCup Exhaust system, has anyone installed one of these systems?

I am currently running a Fabspeed Zork pipe and my kids, wife, neighbors and just about everyone else on the road thinks it TOO LOAD. So I am considering changing it out, but I don't what my car to be too quite so I was thinking maybe the SuperCup setup would be a nice in between from the Zork pipe and a standard muffler setup.

Anyone thoughts?

964speed, with the Zork tube being quite aggressive you are looking in the right direction with a supercup for the performance and sound with still offering more sport sound and performance vs the standard muffler setup. I am a phone call or email away from helping you any further with the supercup or questions.

Do you have any videos with a 930 running the SuperCup exhaust? I've seen some videos of the SuperCup exhaust running on an SC, but not a turbo.

964speed, we are planning to film additional pieces and sound clips very soon. We will have additional videos with the Supercup installed on our 930 for a good reference but keep in mind that our 930 has our headers, airbox and other engine upgrades. Please don't hesitate to call or email with any addtl thoughts or questions.

Thanks Schane,

Looking forward to seeing and hearing the 930 with the supercup exhaust. My 930 also has headers, airbox, k27 turbo, Euro fuel head, larger intercooler, modified wastegate and a couple of other things I'm probably forgetting. Our 930s are very similar as far as upgrades ... can't wait!

I have the FabSpeed "Dual" set up. It's nice and can get loud when the turbo kicks in. I love it.

+1 on the dual outlet Fabspeed exhaust. I'm running similar mods plus Ruf cams and it sounds amazing! Very happy with it! I've even had a few car alarms go off when I rumbled by.

Out of curiosity, did you ever replace your Zork?

I'm also interested in hearing from others in regard to their experiences with the Zork. I've heard lots of folks say it's *very* loud, but, from what I've heard through posted videos by FabSpeed and others, it just doesn't sound *that* loud, even on WOT. In fact, I feel the Zork produces a very natural [flat-6]exhaust note. I think FabSpeed quotes a 30hp/32tq improvement over the stock setup. Obviously, this should be something easily detectable by the butt dyno, no?

Contrast that with the FabSpeed dual out, that sounds *unnaturally* throaty, to me. In other words, too much of a rumble...trying to get a flat-6 to sound like a v-8. I much prefer the higher exhaust note of the factory setup vs the dual out.

And as 964speed queried, I, too, am curious how the SuperCup exhaust sounds/performs.

That said, if there's anyone in the DC metro that's running a Zork, or anything else for that matter, please let me know, as I'd really like some first-hand experience.

It's joe at fabspeed Motorsport. I just got back from Germany.
Schafer and my guys have torn my 1987 930 apart to make some Videos for you all!

The Super Cup 930 exhaust is a 3" 76mm high flow exhaust that should be much quieter that the 934 ZORK tube.

The Supercup is has a small straight through muffler and splits let and right for dual outlet. We can also build these so it's a Single outlet out like stock.

My car is on the lift and the engineering team is also trying to adapt our Quad tips to the Supercup system.

The fabspeed Maxflo muffler we sell a lot of is a large super high flow single or dual outlet muffler that maximizes hour power and torque. Single or dual outlet available with Quad tips too.

The weather is expected to be great this week so I would expect this to be 930 911 Turbo week at Fabspeed with Schane and Alex doing Videos.

The Fabspeed 930 ZORK tube is a honest replica of Porsche factory IMSA straight pipe that come directly off the single turbo out the back of the car. I have run it on my car for years and its very aggressive and it makes me smile and grin and everyone should have the experience. Total Weed wackier turbo noises and when you jump off the throttle yes it farts pops and crackles. My kids and neighborhood kids luv it........ My wife smiles tells me I am immature and laughs and says grow up. He'll no.

Loud and race like IMSA ZORK tube

Attenuated and softened Supercup 930 still some good old bad boy sound.

The Fabspeed Maxflo same power as above slightly heavier some weed wackier whistling (all turbos must whistle when I release systems) and great sound.

The loudest thing on these cars is when the waste gate Blasts open.
Porsche 930s for ever and ever!

Joe, so in regard to noise levels and performance, would it be safe to say the Supercup falls in between the Zork and the Maxflo?

Have you had the Supercup on the dyno? If so, what kind of hp/tq gains did you find? Was that with the small muffler?

What's the highest flow [least cells per inch] cat in your parts bin? Do you think the Supercup would have higher flow/performance with only a muffler or only a cat?

Default 930

We have our 930 getting setup with our Supercup and working on a new dual outlet supercup and will have additional details and data to post up by the end of this week or early next week.

HI Allen

Fabspeed Motorsport uses HJS Germany 200 CPSI cells per square inch trimetallic catalytic converters. These are the most durable flow 97% of a straight pipe and DO not break down, unravel, and fail. 100 Cell cats may flow 98% but frequently the catalytic converters break down collapse and fail and the gain in flow is insignificant and only worth bragging or Bench Racing Points.

Catalytic converters are very good sound reducers/ attenuators and will make a difference. Shane can put a system together for your car. In Pennsylvannia where I have my car any car under 5000 miles per year in Emissions Exempt and I don't have a cat on my car. In other less populated areas there NO annual emissions testing.
