WTB 930
Looking for a 79 or 89 930 in Slate Gray. Yea - I know tall order to pick your color. I liked the one at Truespeed a white back and am also mildly interested in the one they have now which is metallic black (fairly similar to slate). Know of any for sale? I would also consider a rough 930 which requires some work - I would do the work and paint it my desired color.

DFW,
I recently saw this car in person at Truspeed.... not realizing it had once belonged to pu911rsr.
As a fellow 930 owner, I was curious about this car and spent +/- 45 minutes going over it. My opinion is that $67,9k is not an unreasonable asking price for this car and if you can get it for $64k, you ought to move on it.
This is a nice car that presents itself well. It is not perfect (100 point) but early 930s in that category have all passed $100k with exceptional examples (as Phil mentioned) approaching $150k. One of my 930s is a 100 point, PTS Gunmetal Grey Metallic with 1,800 miles and I just turned down crazy crazy money for it.... because I doubt I could replace it.
There are a lot of roaches and and tasteless '80s modified junk available on the net, but unmolested examples are continuing to climb in value !
Best of luck with you search.
