alternator / intercooler removAL?
First off, thank you to everyone who has helped in the past!
Question; when removing the alternator, do you guys remove the intercooler to get to the strap and fiberglass shield removal? Seems like it would create a whole lot more room to work.
2nd question, if and when, any of you are removing your intercoolers, do you always replace any o-rings on there? My car is an '87 and this would probably be the first time the intercooler has been removed.
Thanks for any help.....

Chris - removing the IC is quite simple and worth doing if it helps you work in the engine compartment. I hope your IC has been removed beofre - any major service, such as a valve adjustment, would require it. If the o-rings look bad replace them - or if you do not know the last time they were replaced then do it now as well.
