I thought about the Cayenne Turbo, but figured that I need not tempt fate (as in Dallas Police officers or Texas DPS troopers) too much! Besides, if I feel "..the need for speed", I just hop into my trusty 930 and go for it!

As for my Cayenne S, I love it. I never thought that driving a larger vehicle with a higher center of gravity would feel "responsive". That is a thing of the past for me. The Cayenne is stable and handles extremely well, with no hint of CoG problems or excessive leaning even in aggressive turns.

And it has LOTS of power.

I was running alongside a friend of mine from work who has an '02 C4S and managed to stay right with him as we got onto the freeway without pushing hard. Will I outrun a C4S? Doubtful. But it IS nice to know that I can maintain a reasonable pace with a lower-riding cousin!

89 930 which gets 120 miles 5 times a week with a commute down PCH into Santa Monica. I keep up on the regular maint. regularly, like 3000 mile oil changes with Mobil 1 (every couple of weeks as one might imagine). So I get to run a Porsche turbo down the twisties and beside the beach twice a day or keep it in the garage...

Which would you choose?

DRIVE IT!

Enjoy,

I drive mine out 2-3 times a week at the most. My daily car is a Jaguar xj6 or the Ford focus. Somehow I just dont seem to enjoy the 930 as much if I were to drive it everyday, everywhere.

I agree. It's like a vacation. Vacations are useually very relaxing and enjoyable, but if everyday was a vacation it would just be another day. Don't get me wrong I would still enjoy my car if I drove it daily. There is nothing that compares to a nice weekend drive in my 930 after a hard week of work. Just my opinion.

I know where you can get a '79 Turbo with 14,000 miles and a recent 25,000 spent on a rebuild. These are original miles. The gentleman that owned it before let it sit to long. What this car needs is an everyday driver. Let me know if you are interested.
