Changing the color is a major undertaking to do it right. I would not do it.

I own a meteor gray 930. Came that way right from the factory. i like it because it's different.

I know it's a matter of taste, but most guys here would love to own a meteor gray 930, we didnt get many.

Well, since black is the fastest color, I feel Mark H's pain for having to settle on a white one....ohhh the humanity......:}

My 930 was ordered Code L999 Meteor Metallic
Color is a bonus. My wife told me to buy it.

I think that I'll stay with original color (meteor metallic) till winter and then decide

Here's my '86 meteor metallic, factory original paint... Looks purple in the deep sun...Also a pic of the 1986 exterior paint colors for 911/930s. Those colors mentioned earlier in the thread are for '87-89 cars. I also have a agree with Mussburger, factory paint is highly valued and should always be preserved when possible.

Thank you shlobeck for picture of the colors.
My car was total repaint in Meteor Metallic but not very good. So there is no factory paint on it...
