Lightbulb Radio for 1987 Turbo

Sorry if the question has been asked before but what is the correct radio for a 1987 930 Turbo. Next, does any one have the correct one?

Thanks,

Stephen

My 930 came with a 'Special Wishes" Panasonic ...and a Blaupunkt Los Angeles SQR46 in a box. Maybe it depends on where the car's import destination was as to which radio it got (just guessing on that one). Or, perhaps the radio-in-a-box I have is HOT! All I know is I wish I could use it, but the security code didn't come with it so it's of no value other than looking pretty all lit up. I suppose some day I'll try to find someone that can resurrect the security code and unlock the thing.

I think I still have a box of cassettes laying around with old stuff by groups like Steppenwolf, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, classics like those (well, only classics if you're from that period I guess). You need to feed those old cassette decks occasionally, give them something to chew up and spit out.

Mark Have you tried the link that I posted? They may be able to help with the code.

Nope, but I'll check it out. Seems someone told me a long time ago that a Porsche dealer can do the trick, provided the radio is registered as original with my car VIN and I can prove ownership. Otherwise what good is a security code if anyone can steal a radio and still get it activated without any questions. I haven't checked out that angle either, having an aversion to dealerships in general but that's just me.

I don't much listen to the radio anyway...might just as well re-install my Blauk for looks if nothing else.

Default Correct Radio 1987 Porsche Turbo

Conflicting information.
Which Blaupunkt radio does 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo come factory installed?
Some say Blaupunkt RENO SQR 46 but other say Blaupunkt BREMEN SQR 46.
Can anyone clarify?

Or if period correct is not required I would go with this Porsche Continental Radio. Nice fit.
