Blackboy, sorry to hear about your Turbo ...... hope you have ample coverage to help get another !
unbelieveable!
That's like having a car show in your own garage!
Thanks Guys. I've been collecting '65 911s, early Turbo Carreras & Turbos for a long time .... back when you couldn't give away a '76 or '77 Turbo Carrera
Tough question, I guess my analagy would be with Fighter jets.
930 = the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II
GT3/RS = the McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle
Both are/were frontline fighters and both built by the same company and as with the two Porsches, are separated by +/- two decades. Both fighters & Porsches are incredible in their are right and both stand on their own merits BUT it isn't fair or logical to compare technology & evolution separated by two decades.
I can pound my 500hp RS4.0 then go jump right into my 130hp '65 911 and have just as much fun scaring the crap out of myself on 4.5in.wide wheels.
I love'em all ....... therein lies the problem ..... take up heroin, it's cheaper !

Racer
I'd never give up my experiences in the airplane, but I gotta say that I'm pretty excited about owning a 930 (or any 911 Turbo for that matter)! Going to look at a '77 930 this morning...
V/R,
Matt
