Default after the detailing...

After spending quite a bit of time, I'm satisfied with the progress I've made on the '85 (for now... I know this will become an obsession). Refinishing the wheels made the biggest difference, even though I spent MUCH more time on both the interior & paint. Speaking of the paint, I have to say that I LOVE the Prussian blue the more I look at it!

What do you guys think about the window tint? I didn't like it before, but it's not too bad now that the rims aren't severely faded (that looked terrible!). I guess I'm most worried about removing the tint on the rear window because of the defroster. I'm just looking for an excuse not to do it, I suppose. haha!

Anyway, I took a few photos today and had to share.

Wow! that car looks great. Since you are asking on the tints, I think your car would look much better without the tints. Either the way the car is hot...

Ghosteh, I love the Prussian Blue too. That's a beautiful car. Personally, I love the looks of tint but cannot get used to a dimmer view of my surroundings after dark. I have a minivan (wife's) with tinting and never like driving it except in bright sunlight. I wear sunglasses a lot but I can take them off. The tint is there to stay. I'm probably in the minority about tint but it has more to do with my vision than it does the tint itself. BTW, I'm a retired Army guy.

I like the tint as well. Might affect the defroster trying to remove it...

That's what I'm afraid of. The side windows would be no problem, but I'm not too anxious to take a razorblade to the rear window.I know somehow you can "steam" tint off, but seems like that would definitely put the leather interior at risk.

The interior is dark blue & I think it would look great if you could see it when looking at the car.

Oh well, there are worse problems in life!

I just saw a Prussian Blue 930 a couple of blocks away. I thought I knew all the significant Porsche's around here. Gorgeous color.

Car looks great. I would ditch the tint though. Looks so much cleaner. If you are worried about the rear window why don't you just do the side windows yourself and bring the car to a professional to have the rear tint removed. I'm sure it won't cost a lot!
