Turbo was leaking oil out the cold side. Removed and sent to an outfit in the midwest that had been recommended to me. Took almost 5 weeks to complete that process. When I opened the box it looked fantastic. I did the install per their detailed instructions. After about 20 miles I had oil dripping from the turbo. I was hoping it was a loose oil inlet or outlet flange. No such luck. I think it leaks worse now. Anyway I am not about to wait another 5 weeks just to find out they did or didn't do it correctly so I bought a new one.

Majestic Turbo in Waco, TX did mine this past spring. Don't have the car up and running yet, but the turaround times and cost were reasonable. They also ceramic coated the turbo and it came back in pristine condition. Very efficient and friendly group of people who stayed in touch with me throughout the process. I've had other fellow 930 owners here in the DFW area use Majestic with good results. Be aware however, that the Waco firm is NOT affiliated with the Dallas Majestic Turbo (whom I'm told are terrible. I have no first-hand knowledge of that Dallas firm however.).

That's where I bought the new one. I will probably send the old one in and have it done.

The car with the new turbo is like a different car. I put the Zork tube on and drove it abit without the bumper on it just in case. Revs much more freely. Took the zork off an put the bb muffler and the bumper back on. It runs better than ever. Its fun again.
