Bolt-on's are good things. Since this thread has surpassed it's original intent (we have collectively re-directed our friend from making a fatal mistake) here are my bolt on mods FYI:

1987 930, LSD, B&B shortneck Intercooler, K27 7006 turbo, Tial WG, Kennedy Stage 1 PP, HKS boost controller to 1.0bar, Boost recirc manifold delete, BL adjustable WUR w/boost enrichment delay, LC-1 AFR and G3 analog gauge, Greddy boost gauge, MSD6AL and 8762 boost retard ignition (12* static advance), K&N cone air intake, Fabspeed single outlet muffler

Mark, you're missing headers! FS headers are phenominal.

Good catch. Yeah, that's next to be done but might be awhile before I commit to the work and the $$ outlay. I also have SC cams just languishing away on the shelf. Some day I'll pick up a set of headers, pop the engine out and slap on what's left to be done.

I am living proof that it just never ends.

Nope, I haven't a clue. The nearest dyno is probably over 100 miles away and it just doesn't matter all that much to me. Guessing, might be 360 at the crank.

Interesting... My 930 has 380 WHP and my Viper is a '97 GTS... The Viper crushes the 930 from a 50 MPH roll on the HWY... I've run them side-by-side...

Mark, did you dyno tune? Curious what torque & hp you're getting. No headers?

Love my 87 930 as well and recently rebuilt and upgrade with :
SC grind cams
FS Intercooler
Tial .9 bar WG
Rarlyl8 headers & dual outlet muffler
FS air breather
Virtually Reducing almost all turbo lag, at least that's what it feels like. Takes off just as it should...................Rocket
Next maybe upgrade turbo

Next maybe upgrade turbo
What? (listening check). You have done all these great additions, but are still running with the stock 3LDZ turbo? Damn dude, you missed the mark. Turbo first, IC second, exhaust (muff and header) third, boost forth, air intake fifth, fueling sixth.....then crack into the engine and do the SC cams.

You have the baseline for a great build, but without a turbo upgrade to at least a K27 you won't realize the full potential.

Agree with Mark, a k27 is mandatory. I put a brand new k27 7200 from andial on my car, runs strong!
mods; Andial IC long neck, FS headers and muffler, 1 bar spring, Andial K27
Runs like a scalded assed ape all hopped up on mountain dew!
