Default Cost to re-upholster?

Hey all,

I am considering buying a 930 that would require re-upholstery due to worn leather and carpet stains. The dash is fine. Shift **** would probably go too, but can't imagine that's a big cost (please let me know if this is a bad assumption).

For those of you that have researched and/or done this in the recent past, how much should I budget for 1) new leather seats (front and back) and door panels, 2) new carpets, and 3) professional installation work?

Based on my research of past threads, there are a couple of quality outfits for the materials - World Upholstery for one. Please send along any other recommendations.

Thanks, in advance!

The PO of my car did the interior at great expense, special ordered leather from Germany, etc
It was around 7k according to the receipts. I think one could do it for 1/2.

I have used "autos International" before and was happy with their 911 kits.

My upholsterer uses GAHH and their prices seem to be much higher than Autos International. Looking at GAHH's site, materials will run @ $3500

OK, GAHH and Autos Intl are now on my list for sure. I was guessing around $5K for leather, carpet and installation. How close am I?

Thanks, Rick. If you hired a professional to do the install, what did that cost?

I did install the carpet, but the rest of the interior was done by a installer/professional. I paid no more than $500 from what I remember.
Once all the interior was installed car smell had been like a new car after 3 years.

Wow, $500 sounds low for the work. I should probably nose around locally to get a fix on this number. Thanks, Rick!

Anybody had to replace their headliner? The kit doesn't cost that much but looks like the install is a biatch!

It is best to pull your windows when doing the headliner (well, my car had the windows off during resto while the headliner was installed. My total price for new leather front seats, leather dash and headliner was $2200 installed.

GAHH Prices
Sport seats leather - $1563
Dash leather - ? Upholsterer just ordered extra leather to do the dash
Headliner - $210
