I have lowered my stock 1989 930 recently 1". Car has 7, 9" Fuchs and 205/246-16 tires as from factory. Looks much better but now the rear tires appear inset too far from the fender lip.
I believe the rear spacers are 28 mm. I would like to install wider (H&R Trak+?) rear spacers to push the tires closer to the fender lip. I estimate i can go out another 15-20 mm. I am thinking therefore that if i remove the OEM spaces and replace with H&R spacers approx 43 mm that i will accomplish my goal.
Is this the best approach ? I want to keep the stock wheels and tires. Are the H&R spacers retained by the stock studs and my existing lugs in turn mount to the new studs in the spacers ?
Any help appreciated.
