Default Headliner needs to be tucked back in...

Hi All,

Recently purchased a 1987 930 and one of things that needs some attention is the headliner at the back of the sunroof. The headliner has pulled out and I need to tuck it back in and re-glue it. Here's a picture of the area. Any thoughts on what to do? Thanks!

I don't think you are going to get that properly back in place without removing the sunroof. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

Mussberger,

Thanks for the reply. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried to re-tuck the headliner and what glue and what procedure they used to get it back in there successfully.

From your picture, it looks like the reason the head liner pulled out is because somthing ? is draging across the roof itself. (drag marks on the roof) have someone else operate the sunroof switch and you watch the area carefuly.

I think in the end Mussberger is right you will have to pull the roof to fix properly.

3M super weatherstrip adhesive works pretty good. Be careful with that headliner material, very friable, easy to tear.

Thanks TT Gasman,

I'm ordering some for redoing the door seals, so I should have a dab left to fix the headliner.
