Default 930 Turbo Brake Upgrade

Any suggestions?

So far, I've seen the following options:
(1) RUF CTR Brake Kit
(2) Brembo
(3) 993 Big Reds

I know the topic has been discussed, but I can't really get the benefits or disadvantage of each option.

I really wanna focus on how each will affect the handling and braking of my car, so for discussion sake, let's focus less on value for money.

What do you all think? Thanks!

993 Big Reds are Brembos - The Big Reds have four pistons in both front and rear calipers.

Brembo also makes large calipers, which I believe are the Grand Prix 6 or 8 pistons in the front and 4 pistons in the rears.

I am not familar with the RUF CTR brakes...

Some of the RWB guys use Stop Tech on the 964/930/993 cars ....

Why are you considering the upgrade? Track use?

Those don't seem to indicate how many pistions in each caliper...

993 Big Reds have 4 psitons in front and rears.

I was thinking more like these -

I believe they make a kit like this for the 930's

Nope. Car will not see track time.
I have been recommended by many not to upgrade and keep the stock brakes which should be sufficient.

The primary functional difference between stock 930 brakes and big reds, or even the bigger brembos, is the ability to absorb and dissipate heat (avoiding fade), which becomes an issue under repeated braking from high speed. For street driving the stock 930 brakes are very good. You can lock up your fronts very readily, whereby your stopping power is dictated by your skill in bringing the brakes to threshold and the stickiness of your tires. However, from an aesthetic standpoint the big reds are hard to beat.

From a brake performance perspective, I've never had any reason to upgrade the brakes ... But, I love the way the big reds fill up a rim! The picture above says it all.

I have the RUF wheels, but one thing to consider is the calipers won't be too visible.
