I'm 99% certain just based on the look and layout of www.930-turbo.com that it's being administered by a guy who also created a registry and blog for Euro Carreras (74-76 2.7L MFI like '73 RS) at www.carreramfi.com. He's a good guy, active some on Pelican though not sure about here. Will be great if he's also getting something similar going for 3.0L 930s.

I could get involved with this, or even start it. I do the window stickers so I have quite a bit of literature and options/pricing information on the cars, though pre-86 it starts to get more sporadic. Built so many web sites I cant count.

My idea would be a page form for registered users to upload all of their pertinent data - VIN, options, original dealer, price, prior owners, pics, etc. Some known some unknown. Then you can browse or search the database by year, color, options, etc.

Not that Im not already busy, but, I could pull it off and do it justice. Not sure I want to spend a few hundred out of my own wallet to do it though. Times are tight.

I would not want to get involved with PCA however. Im a member, but, they have worn out their welcome with me.

UD Pride, not sure what happened with you and PCA, but going through PCA does offer its advantages. They have the resources and support to help make it happen. Plus, our relationship with Porsche AG offers a vast knowledge base through their archives and Porsche classic. You should speak with Mike Souza who runs the Register program for PCA and the Cayman Register. He started it up from cold and made it into a pretty cool site. Porsche went to the Cayman Register when they filmed Code of the Curve. All those Caymans in the film were Register members.

Federal Government...sheesh....don't think PCA ever shutdown or argued about debt ceilings

Default Porsche 930 Registry

Hello turbo friends,

i have the idea of a 930 registry since a long time. It will be a good part of my website www.turbosition.com.
So today i have published a registry with some test data sets.
It would be great, if you have a look and gives me some feedback.

But we need a 911 TURBO registry, not 930.

Sorry. I just could not resist. Someone slap me across the face.

Careful guys, you're going to get cityguy involved with that kind of talk. This is actually just a "bump" to get this back into the conversation. I'd like to see a Type 930 registry also. Not all 911 Turbos, but not just the earliest ones either. How about all turbocharged 911s from 75-89?

My 1979 is production #742, purchased new at Beverly Hills Porsche+Audi. A newer / complete 930 registry will need all of these 930 + '86 up 911 turbo cars, USA and ROW cars, and grey market cars, in order to be "Close to complete".

My car is #744...do you know what month yours was purchased? Mine was bought from Bill Van Porsche in Garden Grove..
