Default 85 911 turbo and 92 body...

Have been looking at this turbo hard...

Here is the ebay link..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...#ht_500wt_1182

Did some searching and found it was sold in 2003 at Barret Jackson for 22,140.00... vin number search

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...5&aid=46&pop=0

Comments??

Not really sure what it might be worth... 17-18k?

I have asked him to send more pics, door jamb stickers especially, not sure if it should have any paperwork... he said it wasn't imported...etc.. not really sure he knows much about it. said it was his bosses car and he works on it for him and he has 930 as well.... just not sure, not knowledgeable enough

Anyone want to call him and get the scoop.... ?

PPI !!!! Kind of a unique color. pictures aren't real sharp, hard to tell condition. Would have to be a grey market car because Porsche didn't import the 930 in 1985 into the USA. Can you go see the car prior to the auction close?

"Ice cold air because there is a huge evaporator under the vehicle! it is the width of the car."

evaporator is not huge - it is in the whale tail and is half the size of non trubos as the intercooler takes up most of the space...
this car looks a mess - are you sure its a turbo? - dont see a boost guage and the exhaust looks suspicious

I see a aftermarket boost gauge with the tell-tale needle set at 1.2 bars - that's alot of boost.

vin # wp0zzz93zfs000322
the FS in the vin# indicates this is a 1985 rest of world 911 turbo coupe, 322 made out of 1063 that year, not including Canadian cars

Why would that be weird?

Trying to get a PPI set-up this weekend and might even travel to take a look this weekend . Just thought someone might want to call and ask a few questions with more "knowledge" than me and post what they learned......

If i knew everything to make an informed decision about the car, i would have never posted the post You do have to agree his description leaves a lot to be desired.....
