Default What fuel to use

Can anyone advise on proper fuel for my 86 930t?
Will midgrade be OK? I have a feeling that the premium grades my not be bought too often by customers and may possibly accumulate water and grunge in the service station tanks, thereby messing up your fuel system.

I had the same question with my 86 - the gas cap says minimum 98 RON so have been using 94 with octane booster? good idea or not
we have a gas station nearby that sell Sunoco 100 octane ( about $8 a gallon but what the heck!)
I haven't actually used it but again same questions - good idea? waste of $? bad idea?

Been using 101 for several years. I have to go 200 miles to get it but it seems to really liven things up. Or I guess I don't worry about staying in the boost for longer periods of time. There are so many modern cars that suggest the highest premium I would bet those turn over just as fast as the other grades.

I throw a little 100 octane Avgas in every once in a while; the early 930's don't have catalytic converters so it doesn't cause problems.

The best I can get in small town USA where I live is 91 octane, which would calculate out to 96 RON. This is a street driven car, no track use and no extended boost runs. Larger intercooler, timing properly retarded at boost, and proper AFR's have not caused me any issues with this fuel.

If you have to buy pump gas get the higher grade you can and get it at a name brand station that sells a lot of it. I go to the BP Amoco station that just got new tanks. Also I also fill some jugs of Sunoco 260gt at the track to mix. I should just buy a drum.

I always run 91 octane here in Colorado.

I agree on the 93, but the leaded killed my O2 sensors. Heck, just the 100 unleaded and go fast seem to kill it some times.
