Got a date with the Dyno! Looking for pointers!
Really sounds like a girl from college... got a dyno date on friday, it's a dynojet with wideband. Any advise on how to get the most from this? Should I adjust timing first for max torque and fuel for afr's second or vice versa? My intuition says start rich and go lean, but whats the best way to go about this? The engine is in a state of decent rough tune but has not seen an afr reading. Anyone have any thoughts on how long should I expect to be at the shop?
Thanks!
Tom

Make sure that the Dynojet has the load brake option or you are blowing your cash.
Most inertia dyno's just give you a 6 second run without any load applied.
The first run I would check your fueling and boost. As far as your timing I wouldn't MAX the torque out on a CIS system. You have Zero safety margin for detonation.
My top three dyno choices for tuning a turbo engine.
1)Dynapack
2)DynaDynamics
3)Mustang

On pump gas 92 or 93 I wouldn't NET more than 20 degrees of timing @ Full boost. I would see what your power level output is at 18 degrees. This recomendation is from 4000 to 5500 RPM's.
