For the early turbo guys...
Its been quite a while since Ive visited the forum here. I have noticed there is quite an early turbo following on the forum which is great to see. I wont go on with the "underrated" etc etc, think we all know that stuff.
This is my 75 turbo. Unrestored original car 25K miles. Build Feb 75 so its very early and has MY74 features still. Bonus points for those who can pick the differences with the 76 cars!!

She's a beauty! I love that Tartan plaid. I guessing one of the differences in the very early cars is the optional passenger mirror, lack of shark's fin and maybe the headlights?

Cool car. One difference - 75's didn't use galvanized metal. You need to watch for corrosion and stay ahead of it. Love the plaid interior - if that was my car I'd have a suit made of the same material!

Shark fins became an option in MY75 but they were a dealer fit option and they dont have an option code. Car is factory correct without them.
Headlights are standard H4 euro. Think the US got H1 lights in 75 with the sugar scoops.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Anyone recognize the engine bay decals?
Nice call with the suit! Sir Jackie Stewart owned a turbo with this interior back at the time. He still wears the same hat I think!
Partly true on the galvanizing. Full galvanizing started in 76 (not dipped shells though) but the cars were partially galvanized very early on. The galvanized panels got higher and higher toward the roofline as time went on until 76. All these cars rust these days though so its a bit of an irrelevance. Ive seen plenty of rusty 964s and 993s especially if theyre driven on salted roads.
Youre talking about the black plastic diverter next to the wiper motor? Thats not unique to 75. Pretty sure all the early turbos fitted with A/C have that. The black line around the outside underneath the tail is the original factory finish.
Thanks. Hold on to that tail, its worth a small fortune! Original early turbo tails are extremely tough to find.

I have a 77 turbo almost identical you air box hole is slightly different and you don’t have the ac condenser on the whale tail .You have red reflectors on the rear bumper. On the front bumper I have second set running lights net to the turn signals. You do not have a driver’s side mirror and your passenger side is different. Interior you do not have a center console. That’s about all I can spot
