Default New 930 owner as of this week. few?'s

1987 black on black.60k miles. Clean history.
So I have had many 951s and familiar with turbo size but this one looks clean and factory but much larger in all aspects along with a huge wg and dump pipe. What size is the factory snail? What psi is 1 bar on the gauge?
Exhaust wise the system looks like big long boxes below the heads. All pipes are polished. What kind/brand system is this? Also a big new giant dansk muffler. Where is the cat? It is such a different beast. First car I got an offer on the day I got it. I won't ever sell this car.

without pics, this thread is useless. The headers and exhaust could be anything, we need to see it.

Sounds like a beauty though!

Busy week at work today took it out for a while today. I love this car and could not imagine ever selling it. From what I can see i think it says k27 7200 on the turbo. Car even boosts very nicely in first gear.2nd spins all the way through with ruf wheels fitting 285s in the rear. Intercooler is not stock either. Man is it nice to have a modded car that's done clean enough to almost look stock.

Welcome to 930 ownership! Like others said...we are waiting for the pics!

How old are the tires? Rear tires should not spin easily in 2nd unless one have mega hp.

Again, congrats on your new toy.

Thanks. To busy for pics still but very soon. So bad news did research and i do have the 3LDZ and stock wastegate but im still very happy with the performance. B & B exhaust. Dansk muffler. Lindsey custom intercooler. Forge DV. K&N inside the stock intake. I was looking at cold air systems and do not see the advantage over the stock snorkel. I think im going to keep everything the way it is.

Maybe on wet or dirty roads, otherwise close to impossible unless like you said mega HP!

The tires were old and very hard. Put some others on I had at the shop and no spin very good traction like its suppose to have. Oh and ruf speedline wheels. Very happy.

I was driving my fathers 79 930 a number of years ago, usual mods (k27,intercooler,intake,1bar,full B&B) going through an intersection slow 1st gear and my brother was on the sidewalk. I floored it, went through the intersection and he said the front wheels came off the ground a few inches. I dont know for sure, but he swears they did. There was a slight high spot in the center so maybe so, but there is no way the tires would ever spin on a clean dry road. It also had 285/35/18 in the rear.
