Was that engine from a street or race car? I'm assuming street with the heat exchangers. Will you just rebuild the 8% hole or are you going to look at them all? That seems like a pretty good deal unless it needs some major work. How many miles did he say is on it?

This was a street car, the guy that I bought it from seemed on the up and up and he was converting it back to stock. He stated that he hadn't been driving it much since he moved to SC.

I am going to get it in the car and address the leakdown once it's running. There was a cross threaded plug on the cylinder. Hoping that was the issue.

Thanks, it's going to be a long build, but things are going to happen faster once I get the G50 donor car here next week. I am trying to do everything myself. Including paint, mechanical and roll cage fabrication.

Seems like an excellent buy on the motor! Already dual plugged, tial wastegate, electronic ignition, Carrera intake manifold. With those kind of goodies, I'd expect some head work, cams, compression...

Great find! Good luck.

So my day today was productive, just not much on the car.

I wanted to make the dolly functional on or off the car lift. Now I can roll the car around and out of the lift bay so that I can swing the doors wide open or tuck it away when I can't work on the car. If I need to get it up in the air, I can lift the car from below the dolly or I can lift it with out.

Although the car is not running, this has been driving me crazy.

Thanks to OSI930 for offering me this key to solve my issue.

Now to get the car done and create my own "bar" to achieve.

Started stripping the doors and getting ready to get the cage fabricated. Anyone want to tell me why I have 11 lb 4 oz side impact bars in this car with SAE hardware. Must have been added to make US legal.

No wonder these doors are so damn heavy. Just these bars alone will take about 23 lbs of high CG weight out of the car.
