French 930
I own a 1981 930 that was originally bought by the first owner from Sonauto in Paris, the car is completely stock and has only 8,500 kms from new, 1 owner car never repainted but it is missing some details seen on other 930's and I want to know if this was something special for the French market.
- It has no stone guard protection in the rear quarters and also no fog lights in the front bumper
- The wheels are silver with dark blue, the same color as the body
- Does someone know the name of this dark shade of blue?
Thanks

Congrats, VERY nice car....here is link to possible color. I can't help on other Q's
Looks like "Dark Blue' ....maybe there is something more specific, but thats what this description says.

Beautiful Car! The wheels are not factory finish, it is not unusual fo people to remove and not replace stone guards. I am searching for my porsche red book that will list all the factory colors for 1981.

Thanks for your replies, the strange thing is that the car was barely driven and Im almost sure that the owner would never repaint the wheels, the color of the backgrround in those fuchs is exactly the same as the body so that is why I think it might have been a factory option, also the lug nuts are the same shade of blue.

Well Porsche would do almost anything you wanted if you had the money, post paint code and I can look it up. I don't see any colors in 81 that I would ecpect to be that dark, do you have the window sticker or a COA that specifies how car was built.

I don't know, the COA is a US deal the PCA does, the records come from Germany and then are translated into English. You used to be able to get a Cardex whch are the real build specifications but my understanding is those are no longer avaliable through Porsche.
