My mother suffered minor roof damage, and one of her trees went down in the bayou in her back yard. She had power within 2 hours of our arrival at her house.

Made it to my house by the lake in New Orleans...flood wall is still closed, by the place is in one piece and even has power! All of the cars I left behind are wet, but intact.

Dodged yet another bullet. No wonder no one down here ever wins the lottery!

East coast guys, stock up on fuel. The fuel situation down here was bleak for a few days...

Hope all you on the coast are safe and sound, over here in Va we need the rain desperately so if you guys get tired of it send it my way. Hanna only left us with 6 hrs of light misting...

Cheers- Mike

I am very close to an exit off route 64 just west of Richmond. I have a small group of 911 friends in the area.

It seems like a few of us at this forum are in the general Carolina/Virginia area.

Good luck, stay above water- Mike
