I ran the Sumitomo HTRZ-IIs on my WRX for about 37,000 miles. Tremendous wet and dry grip. I had thoughts of swapping them out in the winter, but the WRX made due fine on them. They have that sort of long spread groove pattern on them. A lot of rubber contact surface area. Not real expensive. Wouldnt use them on a 2WD car in the snow belt.

My only real complaint was after about 29-30K miles, they got maddenly loud. Still were performing okay, but the drone from them really got annoying.

I got some sort of Goodyears on my 930. Gators maybe. They had less than 500 miles on them when I got the car. Probably not what I would have put on, but Im going to run on them until they croak before I spend any money on rubber.
