Robert's cars are like (well beyond, even) the ultimate Special Wishes cars. Everything you see was done by the factory.

G-day John...good to see you again....my indy just came and flatbedded my 930 down south to do a top end rebuild and to install all the spiffy bolt=ons I've been buying for the past year and a half. While he has the engine out I'm going to have him replace anything that looks even remotely worn...plus it's getting an engine beautifucation spiff up...I'm really looking forward to getting it back. Im putting in Brian's WUR and RarelyL8's and the M and K exhaust system, B6 intercooler etc..

It won't look as beautiful as Robert's...but his is definitely one of a kind and an absolutely stunning example of a Special Wishes car.

Robert: The car came from the factory with those wheels and that intercooler? Geez with that car and that blue slant...there have been some stunning iterations of Special Wishes cars here lately.

If you guys were following the Humpty Dumpty threads Robert owns the one off America GS and this is his other one off special, special, special wishes car. Not sure if three specials are enough based on all that went into it. If you knew everything that went into this car you would all be wishing he adopted you and put you in his will.

Robert you need new pics these are the same ones I have seen published. Maybe you need to bring it out to one of our Concours events this year and show it off, I am sure Don would be happy to photograph it for you.

Plus it is beyond better to drive, plus half the guys on this board are tracking the cars which means--yep they are fast and actually go around corners too. As far as I am concerned the 930s in general are amazingly underpriced. Please note when the entusiast press starts complaining about how the Cayenne is not a Porsche(really) They identify the 930 as what a real Porsche is supposed to be. Hey they are paying 80 to 110 for 69 Z28s which were not really that fast etc.(I had one then). Anyway, exscuse the rant. But, they made that Mako bodystyle for at least a decade at 35,000 produced per year.
There were only 20,302 69 Z/28 produced almost 40 years ago. If you found one in original condition camparable to this 930's condition it would bring over 100k even in todays market. You are comparing apples to oranges . A 69 Z is an American muscle car and part of what many consider the best era in American car making. That is why Ford , Dodge and Chevrolet are trying to go retro 1969-70 . They actually built 250,000 69 Camaro's in 1969 . If you drive a 69 Z/28 around town you will get more thumbs up and people coming over to talk to you than you will driving any Porsche.. and I mean any Porsche. Most baby boomers identify with the 69 Z/28 more than a 930 turbo as the car they always wanted when younger and never could afford , sold or too young to own and that is why they are 50-150k depending on condition and documentation and options .
But if you want to compare a rag top muscle car to a 89 cab turbo lets chose the hemi Cuda vert for over a million.
But I think we all agree, 930s for the performance they deliver are grossly under valued, for now . Personally I think everyone should own both

I think the next year is going to be a goldmine for Porsche enthusiasts to buy their dream car, as many used Porsches will be cheap if we hit an economic speed bump. That is simply a reality of the way markets trend. New Porsche sales are suffering badly right now.

I will go ahead and drive mine. This is a buyer's market right now, not so much a seller's market. I have no problem at all with Porsches being affordable. If things change and they go up in value, that is fine too.

Robert, I love your 930S. I was just reading though a book I have about that car. It was built or finished in 1990 right?

I agree.. one of the managers of a local Porsche dealership said that his alotment of new Porsche's has been cut because the factory is sending a lot of the cars to China and Russia. The weekness in the dollar does not make the US a good place for them to send cars right now... seems to make sense.

Van, I imagine that you will be tempted to pick up a couple more if prices soften! LOL.
