A friend's friend Jay McCann has a BMW resto shop (2002's and the like) again in down(ish)state CT, if that helps http://www.sports-car-restoration.com/. Did a sicsic 666CSi (hilarious OEM looking badge and all), turbo, 5something horse, awhile back.
He also does Porsche's, did a heckuvajob shaving gutters and filling sunroof and fab'ing steel flares to my bud's matte black '79SC...
