Thanks guys!

Jim,

I've been with Gene for several years now... Anything I've needed, alignment, shocks, etc. he's been able to handle... He cares for both my cars th 87' 911 and the 84' 930....

I dont know what the opinion of this forum is, but Paddock Performance in Havestraw, NY is a reputable shop for upgrades and maintenance. They also use a Mustang Dyno, should anyone want a Mustang Dyno pull.

Gene is a really nice guy and for general maintenance very reasonable. Although not my first choice for performance mods.

However, if your looking for performance mods I highly recommend Protosport in Pompton Plains. 973-839-5353. They do everything from mild to wild. They have a Kramer 935, a supper widebody 993TT rear wheel drive with 600hp numerous custom cars they are working on and my turbo at the moment. Always satisfied with their work. I also find them quite reasonable for general maintenance too.

Rick Deman in NY is also a great choice for performance work.

Look up Daniel Jacobs' Hairy Dog Garage www.hairydoggrrrage.com, they're downstate CT area more toward NY I believe. They come higly acclaimed for both maint. and mods, they've set up quite a number of respectable DE cars from what I've seen / heard. No direct experience yet, but HTH...

Yes I would second that Dan is also another good candidate especially on the 964's.

I have been going to Powertech for 15 years. They have modified 3 turbos for me. A 2003 , 1987 930 and a 1989 930. THey are great. They are located in Rockaway NJ. They also build Porsche race cars and do a lot of custom work. They also sell Porsches. 973-586-3210

They too are a good shop. We are blessed to have so many good shops in the area.

In CT Dan Jacobs is #1 for anything 911.. he's 10 minutes off I84 (Exit 15) in Oxford, CT. I've heard people speak highly of Auto Associates up in Canton, but no personal experience there..

+ 1 Ask for Mike or Keith. I've been going there for 10 or so years. They're big racers and very active with PCA stuff...I believe they're also listed on this site somewhere.

Default off topic sorry

Does anyone know who I can use for older bmw electrical issues? I have a 1993 and I cant find anyone who can find a short and resolve the issue.

Sorry for the off topic question...pls PM me so we dont disrupt the original topic.

Thanks,
james
