Well... my fully race prepped SC is going to be my "e-ticket" ride at PCA and NASA races next year... that's plenty of "e" for me..

I was trying to tell my 12 year old son what an "E" ticket ride was when we were visiting my parents and found some old Disney World tickets. Back then, every ride had a ticket rating and you had to give one to ride on it. The best rides were an "E" ticket. These are from 1974.

Back to our regular programing now...

Cheez, you mean to say they don't have "E" tickets any longer? Let's see, I was 15 years old in.................1961! Well, I guess I'll have to settle for my GT3 as my "E" ticket ride.

we dated ourselves w/ the "e-ticket" referrence!!

regardless of whether you keep or sell the 930, you will still be racing a porsche and little is better than that! good luck in your racing pursuits !!!

best,

Not sure if this post ended in a sell or not but I just sold my 993 and am looking for something similar to this. Do you have dyno test results? And I could do a search but who is Dan Jacobs? I'm in CA so the name doesn't resonate with the PCA/POC shops on the sunset coast. Also why did you add the Hargett shifter? Any idea if it would pass smog in CA?

The video of Watkins Glenn looks like it handles pretty good. What would you say you were driving the car at..... 5/10s??

No dyno, sorry. I added the Hargett so I could use 5th gear in the G50 that was installed. It won't pass smog, has B&B headers with heater boxes. Yes, that was my first day in her after getting the 5 speed and my 3rd day overall -- 5/10ths at about a 2:15 at the Glen. With a good driver who knows.

Ask around about Dan J., I think he is known even out there. She is sitting in a nice heated shop waiting for me to finish installing some RS carpet pieces and touch up a couple nicks in the paint. After that i'll start seriously advertising her for sale.

David,

Dan Jacobs owns a shop here in CT and is well respected for his workmanship. He is also a PCA scrutineer and I think he is or was the technical chair for the CT Valley PCA club. Good guy, no BS.

I wonder, did Dan quote output on this engine?
Gary?

The engine is 100% stock and has about 65K miles on it. All Dan did was a leakdown and compression when I bought it and a valve adj., new 10mm wires, cap, plugs, rotor about 100 miles ago. The leakdown was done about 300 miles ago and was between 2-3% accross the board from memory.. they said it was the best numbers they had seen in a 930. I installed the K27 and B&B headers when I got the car. OEM is 300HP, I would have to guess it makes that to the wheels now, but i'm not interested in knowing at this point.
