250,000 km on mine (156,000 miles).

Valve job done at 200,000 km, gearbox rebuilt at 225,000 due to worn 3rd gear synchro, new turbo at the same time. I've put 50,000 km on since I purchased it in early 2001. Great power, no smoke, and negligible oil consumption (maybe a litre over 5000 km). It leaked a few drops of oil during the 5 month winter hibernation but this seems to have stopped once I started driving it again.
I don't think you can generally say which is better - it's all down to the individual merits of the car. I've seen lots of low/lower mileage cars that are not even close to mine condition wise.
